Prision of Leiria and AMI at the day dedicated to Social Entrepreneurship
This year and for the first time in this event, a particular emphasis was given to the theme Social Entrepreneurship, not only with the conference “ Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development”, presenting AMI’s example, but also with the presentation of the Training Project in Entrepreneurship, developed in the Prision of Leiria regarding the Entrepreneurship Program for Social Reinsertion of Prisoners.
The problematic of the
social reinsertion of prisoners was largely discussed and emphasis was put on
the importance of this kind of programs to stimulate and enable the prisoners
for the launching of their own entrepreneurial initiatives as guarantee of a new
position in society and personal accomplishment. The attendant prisoners
revealed great determination and enthusiasm during the presentation of their
projects, showing the efficiency and success of the programme.
