Positive Balance at the Closing of the 3rd Entrepreneurship Event OPEN 2007
Following the mission of promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the business incubator OPEN arranged, with the support of Centimfe, Rede IDT, IPJ and the Town Hall of Marinha Grande and Leiria, the 3rd Entrepreneurship Event edition that took place between the 16th and 21st of April, in Marinha Grande and Leiria.
The goal of this event was to contribute for the promotion and dissemination of the theme – ENTREPRENEURSHIP – involving several target groups, from the youngest to entrepreneurs and investors. The program of the event was planned in order to dedicate each day to a specific subject.
On balance, we can say that the outcomes of this event can be considered as very positive. The Event had, within the set of several activities, the participation of about 700 attendants, enlightening almost 200 students of Secondary and Professional Schools of the region and final year students of Higher Education Schools, 20 promoters of new entrepreneurial projects, professors, researchers, besides several investors, entrepreneurs of diverse institutions as well as representative of projects of support to entrepreneurship .
Being the Entrepreneurship in vogue, OPEN proposed with this initiative, a unique approach in the national overview, seeking to bring to discussion themes many times forgotten.
The strengthen idea that was intended to transmit is that in Entrepreneurship can be found remarkable examples of entrepreneurs not only in the “ New and Sophisticated Technologies” areas.
The Country and the Region need Entrepreneurs. OPEN expects that this initiative contributes for the necessary criation of a culture of entrepreneurial risk and that the presentation and testimony of the entrepreneurs invited may constitute a stimulus for people to start to implement their own challenges and projects.
The Entrepreneurship Event will continue to be arranged annually, between the end of April and beginning of May. We count with your contribution next year!
